Urban Seed is a not-for-profit association run by the Baptist Church in Collins Street. They run a range of programs that benefit both the environment and under privileged people in Melbourne.
The services and facilities they offer are simply inspirational. From Cafes to a Green Collection community, environment and business in Melbourne's CBD.
Nominee: Vic Relief
Established 1930, Victorian relief has been the significant organisation for the State Government to distribute aid across Victoria.· They efficiently and effectively source and distribute material aid, food and information through a network of welfare and community groups to people in need;· They explore and facilitate opportunities for philanthropic organisations, corporations and individuals to contribute to their community; · actively promote the strength of the emergency relief sector through representation, research, relationship and projects
Nominee: The Green Building Partnership
The design of the 60L Green Building has set significant new benchmarks for the level of environmental sustainability in commercially viable Building development in Melbourne. This includes reduction in energy consumption by two thirds, reduction in water consumption by 90%, the significant use of recycled materials, and the provision of a healthy, pleasant and productive workplace.

Nominee: Koko Black
Shane started his business interest with Suga Chadstone in 2000 (Suga Candy kitchens). A year later with his Father-in-law Joe Carbone, they purchased the remainder of the Suga business.
They have since grown the business to 6 stores around Melbourne. In 2003, he founded Koko Black chocolate in the Royal Arcade. Koko Black is a boutique chocolate store where they make all the Belgian style chocolates fresh on the premises.
The store also incorporates a licenced chocolate lounge.
Nominee: Blue Tongue Entertainment Limited
From small beginnings in Melbourne IT with two employees, Blue Tongue Entertainment has grown into an international computer game development company, with two premises in North Melbourne and 40 staff.
Blue Tongue has successfully launched a number of games on the world market, with its most recent big success Jurassic Park “The Operational Genesis”, launched for Universal Studios. This game has been translated into nine languages and has sold half a million copies worldwide.
Nominee: Photomapping
Established in 1969, Photo mapping Services is proudly 100% Australian owned and operated.
They provide services to government, councils, utilities, authorities and industry. Photomapping Services was recently appointed to the Geoscience Australia and Defence Intelligence Geospatial Organisation panel.
Nominee: Quantm Limited
Quantm Limited develops and markets a unique and "revolutionary" road and rail route system that enables infrastructure planners to manage complex environmental and community issues, and substantially reduce alignment construction cost.
The system, which was originally developed by CSIRO in Melbourne, has been successfully sold into USA, Canada, New Zealand, France, Spain and China, including the 1,600km I-69/Trans-Texas Corridor - one of the largest infrastructure projects in the world.The California High Speed Rail Authority has documented that its study team identified potential construction cost savings of US$4.8bn using the Quantm system.
